Era · 1900–1917
In 1902 Stanley redesigned the way the frog sits in its bench planes, added a rib to keep it square to the mouth and cast the MAR-25-02 and AUG-19-02 patent dates behind it. BAILEY was cast into the body from the same year. The frog adjusting screw came over from the Bed Rock line around 1907, and Type 11 (1910–1918) added a third patent date, APR-19-10, while knobs stayed low. Stanley also sold heavy No. 4½H and 5½H planes to the English market from 1902. Disston still offered saws it dropped between World War I and the early 1920s, including the No. 8, No. 9 and D-100.
