Era · 1962 and later
Stanley's Type 20 starts in 1962. The bodies are painted blue instead of black, the hardwood tote and knob get a light stain, the adjusting fork is two pieces of pressed steel and the lateral lever is one bent piece without the STANLEY name. The type study stops at 1967, but several sizes stayed in production longer. Patrick Leach dates the end of the No. 6 and No. 7 to 1970 and the No. 3, No. 4 and No. 5 to 1984. By then Disston saws came from H.K. Porter's plant in Danville, Virginia, not Philadelphia.
